Professional gutter cleaning
Water that goes where it should
Leaves and shingle grit pack into the gutter until the water stops moving. It spills over the front, runs down the siding, and soaks the ground against the foundation. GMX clears the gutters by hand, flushes each downspout, and confirms the water runs out the other end before leaving.
- Gutters cleared by hand, not just blown out
- Every downspout flushed and tested
- Clogged downspouts opened at the elbow
- Minor repairs: loose hangers and leaking seams
- One and two-story homes
- Residential and commercial properties
Common situations
Why people call us
Water pouring over the edge
If it runs over the front of the gutter in a normal rain, the gutter is packed and the downspout is probably blocked too.
A downspout that will not drain
Water backs up at the top or trickles out the bottom. The clog usually sits in the elbow and has to be opened by hand.
Stains running down the siding
Dark streaks under the gutter line mean water has been spilling over that spot for a while.

Gutter Cleaning — Common Questions
How much does gutter cleaning cost?
Pricing depends on the linear feet of gutter, whether the house is one or two stories, the roof pitch, and how packed the gutters are. GMX gives a free estimate based on the specific property.
Do you clean two-story homes and commercial buildings?
Yes. We work on one and two-story homes and on commercial properties.
My downspout is clogged. Can you clear it?
Yes. A blocked downspout usually has to be opened at the elbow by hand and then flushed through. We flush and test every downspout on the property before we leave, so a clog gets found whether or not you knew about it.
What happens to the debris?
What comes out of the gutters is bagged, and the walkways and driveway are left clean. If you want the bags taken off the property, we can do that on request and it is quoted separately.
Do you repair gutters?
We handle minor repairs — reattaching a loose hanger, sealing a leaking seam. Full replacement or resloping a long run is a different job, and we will tell you plainly if that is what the gutter actually needs.
Do you install gutter guards?
No. We clean gutters; we do not sell or install guard systems.
Are estimates free?
Yes. Estimates are free and come with no obligation.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year is the usual rule — after the leaves drop in fall and again in spring. Properties with pine or heavy tree cover often need more.
What is included?
Clearing leaves and debris from the gutter runs, flushing so water moves freely, and checking that the downspouts are not blocked.
How do I know my gutters need cleaning?
Water spilling over the edge during rain, plants sprouting in the gutter, staining down the siding, or downspouts that trickle instead of run.
Why does it matter?
Blocked gutters push water against the fascia and down the foundation. Cleaning is inexpensive; water damage to a roofline or basement is not.
Do you check the downspouts too?
Yes — a clear gutter draining into a blocked downspout still overflows, so the downspouts are part of the job.
